| About the Coconut Modem........ The Coconut Modem was first published on April 21, 1994 as a tool to help 63 AOL friends stay in communication with each other, and to provide a little entertainment as well. Although originally intended only for AOL members, the internet community found it to be of interest also and in about a year the CM had grown to have over 16,000 subscribers. As the Internet continued to grow and more information became available the need for publishing the CM deminished. We went from publishing every month to every few months and finally called it quits in 2002. We do from time to time put out a special issue and send out Jimmy's tour schedule. Because of this we keep our mailing list alive and welcome new subscribers anytime. When we get the tour schedule we pass it on right away to our list, it is always the offical schedule that comes straight from Jimmy's management. Bottom line is that if you subscribe you'll only hear from us a few times a year. Enjoy, |
